I finally built up to courage to take the baby to a restaurant last night! ?I am slowly getting over the anxiety of having a fussy baby in public so last night was perfect to test the waters because I had lots of other people there to hold the baby if I needed someone too. ?We went to Applebees because they are pretty kid friendly and it was a place that I could still have a drink.
I was a little worried because he was giving me his tired cues before leaving so I was unsure if he would just be a crab apple because he wasn?t sleeping or what. ?I nursed him and fed him a bottle before we left and I made sure he was dry and off we went! ?He loves the car so much that he fell asleep on the way there even though it was maybe 10 minutes away.
Once we got there he was asleep for a little bit still in his car seat which was perfect. ?Then he woke up and just sat in his car seat longer looking all around quietly! ?It was bizarre because he normal creates a stink if he is in that seat and not in the car. ?I love that he is finally content just looking around. ?Even though I contribute part of my weight loss to him needing me to walk him around all of the time when he was younger. ?Now I feel like I am going to put weight back on because we don?t move around so much! ?How bittersweet!
It was my friend Matt?s birthday so we told the Manager that it was and he wanted his birthday shooter and song. ?Well that is where we almost had a problem. ?Little Mike was slightly startled by the clapping and increase of noise especially since they were standing behind him and he couldn?t see what was going on. ?He made the pouty face and calmed down before getting upset.
The boys kept talking about gambling online and playing roulette for a living while we were at dinner. ?I can?t believe how much money they have recently won playing roulette! ?I don?t see them having a future in gambling for a living but they can hope!
He made it to 9:30 at Matt?s house too and we had to go home because he wanted to go to bed. ?I don?t blame him though because I was tired too! ?It is nearly impossible to put a baby to bed at someone else?s house when they have a 3 year old and a bunch of adults being loud. ?He must have been stimulated just enough though because he slept from 11pm-6:45 am and that happens to be his longest stretch of sleep in the whole 2 months of his life!
