CINCINNATI (AP) -- The University of Cincinnati is focusing on fire safety in events Monday as part an initiative in the aftermath of two student deaths in an off-campus blaze.

The school says the public is invited to viewings of the documentary "After The Fire," about the impact of a deadly fire at Seton Hall University in 2000. It focuses on the lives of two badly burned survivors.

Students Ellen Garner and Chad Kohls were killed Jan. 1 in an off-campus fire. The city of Cincinnati has launched a safe student housing program that lists rental properties that have passed city fire inspections.

Family members of the two students killed will speak during the programs. The school says there will be sessions at 3 and 8 p.m. EDT.
